Ever wonder about the science behind marine fisheries management? Or how fish populations are monitored along our coast? Join us to learn more about saltwater ecosystems, food webs, fish life cycles, and how both natural and manmade occurrences can impact fish populations. Using hands-on activities, students will learn how to gather data, make charts, and interpret their findings. Appropriate for 10 to 18 years of age.  Course will be taught by UF/IFAS Extension Hernando County Marine Agent, Brittany Scharf.  Cost for each participant is $5.00. No refunds will be given. Course will be capped at 30 youth. This course is part of the UF/IFAS Extension Hernando County's STEM InvestiGATORS Youth Progam. Participants who accumulate 10 hours (5 courses) by May 31, 2020, will earn a Certificate of Completion and a 4-H specialty topic pin.
