Join us at the OM Grown Community Garden on Saturday, August 15th at 9:00 am for a free garden education workshop with Doug Poteet, a Hernando County Schools Science Teacher, to learn about:

The ART of Irrigation: Variables to success, heat, humidity, time of day, soil type, mulch/no mulch, amount of water, distribution, and of course plant and its location.

Feel free to bring a notebook, a hat, water, and Questions.

About our Educator:
Doug Poteet was born, raised, educated, and trained in elementary education along with agriculture on the islands of Hawaii. For the past two decades, he has been living in Hernando County, Florida, teaching Science at Pine Grove Elementary to students. There he Co-founded a Science/Garden club that has been teaching students the joy of gardening and eating good, clean food. Doug is excited to share his knowledge with the members of the OM Grown Garden at WellCome OM.
